Trouble Shooting

In this case, the error message produced by Solea must be considered.

1) Host computer (xxxx) not found! Check your network connections.

•The name or the IP address you've entered for the computer where the Server Application is running is invalid so you cannot connect to it. You must check your entry.

•There is no network connection to the server computer. You can test it with ping command by using an MS-DOS command window.

2) Connection Refused! Verify that the SoleaSrv.exe is running on the host computer (xxxx).

• Enter the properties of Local Area Conection on server computer and check the security settings. Server Application must take place in the "Exceptions" section of the firewall settings.

•Your antivirus software has prevented the access to Server Application from other computers by blocking.

•Ports which are used by the Server Application on server computer are closed. Server Application communicates over the ports between 9012 and 9019. At least one of these ports must be open.

Your computer is not assigned as "Broadcast Computer". Click the "Settings/Broadcast Computers..." in Server Application and set the name of your broadcast computer, restart the Solea.

<Planned Tasks...> button must appear as in order to broadcast planned tasks. Otherwise it appears as .

First you must be sure that the <Active> option which is bottom of the window opened by clicking this button is checked.

If the problem is not solved, correct the Broadcast Computer setting, close the Hotel On-Air Panel and re-open it.

Your dongle is not plugged-in or its driver is not loaded. You can look at the section "To Make The Solea Licensed" on the page Installation.

If you are sure that the dongle is plugged and its driver loaded, the problem is that you have time-limited license, and your license expired with respect to current date.

You must also getting an an error message when you try to test any song. This may caused by your "Audio Reading Method" is selected as <Directed File Access> and refers an invalid directory. You can correct the directory name or you can make it <Automatic>. See Settings page for more details.

Although your "Audio Reading Method" is right and your problem is not solved, check the directory names on the "Database Settings" of Solea Server.

Surround (5.1, 7.1) sound cards can be used as stereo or surround. You must configure it to surround from Control Panel of Windows. After doing this you can open "Device Information" window by clicking the <Help/Device Information...> from the main menu of Solea and verify the "Number Of Speakers" which is detected by Solea. You must see a number 6 or 8 (depending on your sound card) instead of 2.
