Calculating Parameters

First Topic  Previous Topic  Next Topic

Before calculating some parameters of the audio files to be added to database or audio records existing in database, a "Parameters Calculation" window is opened.

Parameters that can be calculated are:

Amp.: Amplify Rate which will be applied during broadcast. Its value can be between 0 and 400. It is 100 for the audio files having correct volume level (normalized).

Trim-In: Duration of the part which will be trimmed (ignored) from the beginning during broadcast.

Trim-Out: Duration of the part which will be trimmed (ignored) from the end during broadcast.

Mix-Out: It is the duration of the part when a song starts to die according to decibel and rhythm.
During broadcast, if you don't want the row containing this song to be mixed to the next row then change Play Style.

Mix-In: It is the duration of the part when a song starts to be alive according to decibel and rhythm.
During broadcast, if you don't want the prior row to be mixed to the row containing this song then change Play Style.

Mix-Point: It is the moment where 2 consecutive rows are mixed. This moment must be most suitable moment according to decibel and rhythm.
When Mix-Point is calculated, Mix-Out duration of the first one and Mix-In duration of the second one of 2 consecutive rows are considered.

Beat-Point: It is the moment where the Mix-Out and Mix-In points of 2 consecutive rows are played at the same time.

BMP: Tempo in terms of beats per minute.

Sound Graph: It is minimized graph of the audio file. It is stored in database. It is calculated at the same time with volume so that there will be almost no time loss during calculation.

The parameters to be calculated are determined by the options near the parameter names. The meanings of these options are:

Auto-Decide: If the parameter was calculated before and the value of the parameter was stored into database, re-calculation is not applied, previously calculated value is used in order to fasten the process.

Calculate: Parameter is calculated even it was calculated before.

Don't Calculate: Parameter is not calculated. If you are importing an audio file which is exported from Solea, current value (may be modified manually after calculation) is used.
