You can open "Users" window by clicking the <Definitions>/<Users...> from the main menu.

You can manage the user names, passwords and permissions by using this window.

A user definition includes following fields:

User Name:

Short name of the user (adm, joe, maria etc.)

User Description:

Full name of the user (Suat Demir, Joe Brown, Maria Sanchez etc.)

Password:

It contains a button opening a window where the user password can be set.

Permissions:

It contains a button opening the Permissions window where the user permissions (rights) can be managed.

Group Name:

If a group's permissions are inherited while managing user rights, the name of the group is displayed here for information.

Computer Name:

If you want the user to be able to use client application from only 1 computer, you can enter the name of that computer. On the contrary, if you want the user to be able to login to Solea System from any computer on network, you must leave this field empty.

Expire Date:

Entering an expire date for a user is more appropriate method than deleting that user. Because, there may be records added, updated by that user. In order to see which records are added or updated that user, deleting that user is not recommended.

A user whose expire date is assigned, cannot login to Solea System from that date.

Password Expire Date:

It is the date when the usage of user password will end. From that date, the user cannot login to Solea System with his/her existing password, he/she is forced to change his/her password. When you add a new user, it is recommended that you must give a temporary password for her/him and you must set the password expire date to <today>. So, the user will be forced to change his/her password during a login attempt. It is not a desired situation that even the system administrators know a user's password.

Notes:

You can enter notes about the user here.

Creation Date-Time:

It is an information showing the date-time when the user is added.
