• Run Solea_Setup.exe. (Solea_Setup.exe is the only file required for installation.)


• If you do not have enough experience with the installation, you can click the < Next > button.


• Unless you are installing Solea from the CD, you can not select < Demo Files > and <Solea Recorder> options.
  You have an empty database when Demo DB files are not installed.


• Solea will be installed in the following directories with default options (when you click always <Next> button).

NOTE 1: When you apply the installation as mentioned above, your database file will not be safe enough.
You will have a risk of losing existing data when you format the C: disk, uninstall the Solea System or make a new installation on existing SoleaData folder.
So, it is recommended that you should apply the operations below.



1	Copy the SoleaData folder (Program Files\Solea4\SoleaData) to another disk or another location in same disk (e.g. D:\SoleaData).
2	Rename the SoleaData\SoleaDb4\SoleaDatabase_xxxx.db file under new location (e.g. SoleaDatabase_MixFM.db).
3	Check the security options of SoleaData folder on new location (be sure that a user named everyone has full access privilege for this folder).
4	Run Solea, click the "Help/Show Solea Server..." from the main menu.
5	Click the option <Settings/Database Settings...> from the Solea Server's main window.
6	On opened window, select db file on new location to SoleaDb row, select SoleaMusic folder on new location to SoleaMusic1 row.
7	Terminate the Solea. Save changes, terminate the Solea Server.



NOTE 2: Your Antivirus software or Windows Firewall may require confirmation for SoleaSrv.exe to run.
Allow SoleaSrv.exe to work at this stage (never block it). Otherwise the Solea System will not work.

NOTE 3: You can use Windows Control Panel to uninstall the Solea System.

• Install Solea System if it is not already available on new computer.


• Copy the existing SoleaData folder to a suitable location on new computer (e.g. D:\SoleaData).
  If you don't remember the location of existing folder, you can see it by clicking the option <Settings/Database Settings...> from the Solea Server's main window.


• Apply the steps mentioned in the NOTE 1 section of the upper title beginning from the 3th item.

To Upgrade Solea:

• You do not have to remove the Solea System that you have already installed. It is advised that you install on existing one.


• Obtain a newer Solea installation file (Solea_Setup.exe).
  "Solea Setup" will decide which components need to be updated.
  Without changing any option, complete the installation by always clicking the <Next> button.
  You should allow existing folders to be overwritten during installation.

To Make Solea Licensed:

• Exit all Soleas (close), make sure that the "Solea Server" application is also closed.


• If the software protection equipment (dongle which is HASP brand and supplied from our company) is plugged, remove it.


• Run the Sentinel_LDK_Run-time_setup.zip file located in the "Extras" directory of the Solea CD.
  If you do not have a Solea CD, after downloading and extracting Sentinel_LDK_Run-time_setup.zip (13.3 MB) file (its zip password is solea), you can do this.


• Plug the dongle after installation is finished.


• You can run Solea when the drive detection is complete.
